2026-2027 Dicamba Use Limits

DICAMBA use limitations in soybean and cotton production (2026-2027)

TDA has received several questions regarding the maximum yearly rate of dicamba for cotton and soybean production.  The label for the OTT dicamba products state that an applicator cannot exceed 1 pound ae dicamba per acre per year.  That statement in the label is not only for OTT applications, but ALL applications of dicamba for cotton and soybean production, including use of generics for burndown.

  • A maximum of 2 applications can be made in a single growing season regardless of timing
  • A maximum combined seasonal use allowance for all dicamba product applications is 1 lb ae/acre

This was originally overlooked by TDA and much different than past EPA mandated limitations. Yes, Syngenta, Bayer and BASF included in their new labels to limit amounts of all dicamba being sprayed in one growing season.  If you have any questions, please contact Chad Hayes at the Tennessee Department of Agriculture by email at “Chad.Hayes@tn.gov” or by phone at: 615-626-9352
